Maidenhead Podiatry is one of a small number of podiatry practices in the UK to offer skin/nail biopsies and skin excisions of the feet.
Pauline Shaw can remove specific benign lesions for histological analysis. Removal is a straightforward procedure, perfomed under local anaesthetic, administered to numb the lesion site beforehand.
A handheld microscope-like tool called a dermatoscope is used to examine and photograph skin lesions as part of your assessment. Pauline follows NICE Guidelines to ensure correct assessment, diagnosis, management and onward referral of patients where appropriate.
