February 19, 2013: Massage, Muscle pain and delayed onset muscle soreness

DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness) is the characteristic pain or discomfort felt 12-48 hours following exercise. The less fit a person is the more quickly and more painfully they tend to be affected.

Following assessment, massage is one of the best ways to bring long term relief for muscle pain. Whether caused by unaccustomed exercise, planned activity or a heavy shopping trip, deep tissue therapeutic massage can reduce pain, increase flexibility and give you a feeling of relaxed well being.
